Admission to The Salon will be closed once the gallery is full and space is allocated.
Each participant will be allocated a measured amount of space by the gallery. (approximately 7 feet wide x 8.5 feet high). Artists are not allowed to display any work beyond their designated space.
Artists must bring their OWN hanging / display supplies (i.e hammers, nails, hooks, wire, stands, frames, levels, etc). The gallery will not provide all of these tools and materials. Depending on what walls that you receive you will be advised the proper hardware to use. We have various types of wall from plaster to drywall. Screws / anchors may be acceptable with certain areas, and nails or hanging hooks appropriate in others. All hanging materials must be approved by the gallery. We will teach you the appropriate hardware to use in every circumstance.
There is a 35% commission to Jordan Faye Contemporary per item sold. The gallery will only accept CASH / CREDIT CARDS for all sales. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO RETURNS or EXCHANGES ALLOWED.
The gallery will be responsible for collecting money from all sales at the front desk and will issue receipts to the buyer and seller. Artist sales tallies will be made at the end of the day.
There are NO LIMITATIONS on price, quantity, medium or size of the work as long as the work fits within the artist's allocated space. The gallery strongly suggests that the artist bring their own price list along with any other promotional material (such as business or postcards.) The gallery is not responsible for supplying such materials, however we are providing postcards for the exhibition itself, which you will be given.
All artists MUST sign a WAIVER that acknowledges Jordan Faye Contemporary is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any artwork transported to/from the gallery and for any damage, loss, theft of personal property occurring at/from the premises.
The artist acknowledges that Jordan Faye Contemporary has the rights to their "likeness" or image as we will be photographing and documenting THE SALON for promotional purposes in the gallery during all days of the exhibition.
If you have acquired a spot in The Salon Series and you have your own website, Jordan Faye Contemporary will post a link to your site on www.jordanfayecontemporary.com for the duration of your hanging.
